Low Poly Cam Animation

This is a personal project I decided to work on with one of my friend, Cam. The project was to create her character in an idle animation however I liked it.

This took around about 2 weeks in total for the initial project, but the revised version took around about an additional 1 or 2 weeks.

My Client

My client, Cam, is an illustrator who creates cute and magnificent art.

Cam had wanted me to create an animation of her character (the blue hair person in the blue dinosaur outfit). She had no time limit for me to create it and didn’t mind with what style as long as it kept some of her aesthetics to it.

Prototype 1:

My initial design was originally going to be an anime-like design. This however went poorly due to how I rigged and created the model, while also having a high amount of performance need to animate a few second animation.

Prototype 2:

This is my first attempt at the low-poly animation. The reason why I decided to go for the low-poly design was so I can implement Cam’s pencil-like texture to the model itself much easier compared to the high poly model. I also wanted to explore a different type of style as well.
